WHO ARE WE WHAT DO WE DO ?

_  The Red Hat  Society is all about getting out enjoying each others company and generally doing our  own thing...... Meeting on a regular basis and chatting about all manner of subjects.

If theres something that you have always wanted to do and have never had the time.......but now... at this time in your life ...you have the chance to do it all.......so put it forward at  our monthly get together,s,and who knows someone else might want to share your little dream..then in turn.. we can share it with you...

Everything is at our own expense...no profit is ever made and the trips are just self paying...its just a really good way of having a little bit of time to yourself with like minded people .

This  year The Remarkable Red Hat Society celebrated its 10th birthday....latest figures show that there are now 70.000 members, and 20.000 chapters in 26 countries all co-ordinated from Hat Quarters ...Fullerton, California.USA  so you can see that the bond between the women is amazing and  wherever you go in the world..you will probably find A Red Hatter.

We all know about Jenny Josephs poem        WARNING....  in which she says     WHEN I AM AN OLD WOMAN  I SHALL WEAR PURPLE WITH A RED THAT THAT DOESNT GO AND DOESNT SUIT ME..... 50 yrs old is a difficult birthday for a lot of women.......  you should be more eccentric as you get older and not take it too hard....... The spirit of The Red Hat Society forbids rules. however .there is ONE flexible guideline that we must insist upon...... Women of 50 and over  must attend functions in full regalia red hat purple outfit ......feather boas optional.......while the younger members wear pink hats and lavender attire.......affectionally known as    PINKIES..... We remember that as little girls we liked to dress up...so why should we change now...   So there we are... a little insight into the RHS  ....     we hope you will join us and continue to have fun for as long as possible.
