16 Dec 2008 - ELTON JOHN RED PIANO TOUR NIA BIRMINGHAM
Well.....16 Gadabouts went to see Elton John present his acclaimed Red Piano Show..we got there nice and early and found a really Old Pub called The Prince of Wales...when we asked for directions a guy said "its very old..you will look good in there with all of your regalia." .Hmmm ..dont know which way to take that, however..we decended on this place and caused a bit of a stir as we usually do...people asking questions... and Red Hats doing their best to accomodate... especially our friends from Sluice Women ..it was all great fun and everyone had a good time..We left the pub and made our way to the show...we had really good seats and waited in anticipation for Elton to show..He was absolutely fabulous...as was that wonderful piano...a true talent and Im sure we are all pleased that we siezed the chance to see him live. The show was very fast moving with background movies taking us back to the 60s and 70s..music was great as you would expect . We are coming to the end of the year now and after a series of wonderful days and nights out together I am very proud to say that "WERE STILL STANDING" Great year for Gadabouts...looking forward to 2009...
